We’re your hosts

We’re the Ranagan Family! We’re the laid-back and adventure-loving crew behind our small family business, Moakoa Living. Originally from Utah, we’ve always chased sunshine, trails, and good times, which is exactly what brought us to Kaua‘i.

Let us introduce you to Moakoa Living. In Hawaiian, “moa” means chicken and “koa” means brave or warrior. Just like the fearless birds you’ll see roaming around Kaua’i!

At Moakoa Living we’re all about relaxing, recharging, and soaking in the island’s easygoing spirit. Kick off your shoes, breathe in the salty air, and make yourself at home.
